Saturday & Sunday – October 3rd & 4th 2026

A weekend of outdoor fun and education for adults & older children (10yrs and over).

Key activities include: fire lighting, crafts, shelter building, navigation, use of tools, back-woods cooking.

Arrive from Friday evening for a delicious meal and settling in.
This weekend is run by locals Kate (Forest School Leader) & Chris (Bushcraft Instructor) who have decades of teaching and outdoors experience to share with you.

We’ll be learning how to use knives, axes and saws, making camp tools and other whittling projects.

We’ll be practicing how to lay fires and how to cook and bake on them with some foraging for foods as well. There’ll be shelter building with taps and ropes and learning how to use natural navigation using the sun and much more including making charcoal/charcloth, Nordic swing braiding, stone painting and hapazome printing!

The cost of this weekend includes accommodation in our gothic mansion and all meals.
