Monkton Wyld Court is a large country house and grounds in an idyllic location in Dorset, offering a variety of courses and education in low impact natural building, sustainable living, venue hire, bed and breakfast, hostel and camping facilities.
Monkton Wyld Court hosts a range of courses, conferences and gatherings for adults, families and children, providing a valued resource for the local community and for people from further afield. With our eleven acres of gardens, meadows, woodland and farm, we are located in a secluded valley within walking distance from Lyme Regis, Charmouth and Dorset’s famous Jurassic coast.
The Court is run and 
maintained by a resident Workers Cooperative with the help of volunteers. We work to develop and promote a lifestyle based on mutual respect for each other and for the natural environment and strive to live as sustainably as we can. Decisions are made by consensus, and new cooperative members join through a gradual process that begins with a volunteering visit.
We offer simple but comfortable rooms at affordable rates, either as bed and breakfast or hostel accommodation. As well as individual rooms, the whole or part of the house can be booked, to sleep up to 42 people. Writer’s and artists retreats are another option, where a room can be occupied for a number of weeks at an economy rate, including meals. Another option is to camp on our old tennis court lawn, with the house facilities nearby.
